The plant of HELIO SA passed the prestigious certification audit according to BRC – Global Standard for Food Safety. The standard was compiled by the British Retail Consorcium at the end of the 20th century. In a short time it has been developed and has come into prominence worldwide. It is considered now as a benchmark of best practice in the food industry and it is used to assess suppliers, in particular, private label manufacturers.

The main requirements of BRC – Global Standard for Food Safety are: HACCP, keeping the documentation of quality management’s system as well as supervising the standards of environment at the plant, processes and personnel.

An independent assessment of international auditors confirmed the highest standards of quality and safety of food production at the HELIO’s plant. It’s worth to underline that the Company has always taken care of quality over the market standards, eg. HELIO was the first company in the dried fruit and nuts industry, which implemented the HACCP food safety system.
